Why is GLUE going to multiply?
If you’ve attended our small group lately, you know that it’s gotten BIG! We divide into four discussions groups of 4-6 each week, and somehow cram ourselves into Christine’s living room. And while it’s been GREAT, we feel it’s time for new challenges. Here are some of the reasons to multiply:
going deeper: We’ve been wanting to go deeper, be more challenged, and be REAL to each other, which gets more difficult as your group gets huge. It’s our hope that we can be a more effective spiritual community if we’re smaller.
stepping up: We have a lot of people, and a core team that has EIGHT people! That’s almost a small group in itself! Multiplying will allow more people to step up and take ownership of the group. Most people will say that they grew the most through ministry when they were involved with leadership.

What are the new groups going to be?
One group is going to be Veritas, a group that will explore the fundamentals of the Christian faith through discussions and Bible study. We want to strive to be a safe place where people can come to seek Truth.
I’m looking forward to exploring the foundations of what I believe and answering tough questions related to faith. I know that oftentimes, we tend to take things at face value, but not develop real convictions about what we believe. This group is about seeking truth, and is open to anyone who wants to explore Christianity more. - Christine
The other group is going to be FUEL, a "discipleship/going deeper" group that will focus on commitment, accountability, and basically will be a comfortable "family" type of small group that will strive towards Christ-like transformation.
Where are the new groups going to meet?
Actually, we don’t know! This is one of the biggest prayer requests for both groups. We have some alternative locations for where we might meet, but we’re still working on finding a more permanent place to meet. These will likely be in the Sunnyvale/Santa Clara/Mountain View area, with the possibility of the Foundations group also meeting on the Peninsula.
How should I pick?
It’s up to you! Feel free to visit both groups to get a feel for who they are and what they will be doing, and be thinking about where your spiritual walk is, how you might grow, and also how you might be used! Also, if you feel that neither of these groups is for you, we encourage you to check out GrX's Fall Launch in September.

Until people have figured out which group they will end up in, we'll be sending you both evites. If you'd like to be taken off either or both, please talk to Dan or Christine or send a message through here.
What’s next?
Each group will be meeting weekly for study and fun activities building up to the Fall Launch. GrX hosts a Fall Launch during 3 weeks in September, which is a time for small groups to host an Open House. After Fall Launch, We’ll be officially launch the new groups and new study series!
